In today’s world, staying connected is about more than convenience. It’s about care. It’s about access. It’s about being able to talk to your doctor, check in with a loved one, or get the support you need to feel a little less alone.
But for many seniors, veterans, and disabled individuals, basic tech barriers can make those connections feel out of reach. That’s where the LeClair Foundation for Technology comes in. We’re so proud to support their Community Technology Services program as one of our newest Kindness Grant recipients.
With help from a $1,000 Kindness Grant, this grassroots initiative will continue providing free technology education, device repair, and one-on-one support to those who need it most. Whether it’s helping someone navigate a telehealth appointment, learn how to use email, or troubleshoot a frozen screen, the team is offering more than tech help. They’re restoring confidence, dignity, and access to vital connection points.
Since launching in January, they’ve already helped over 40 people across senior centers and libraries. And the ripple effects are real! When someone gains the skills to stay in touch with their grandchild, manage their healthcare, or feel more independent in daily life, it changes everything.
This mission is deeply personal for founder Corie LeClair, who started the nonprofit in honor of his father, Gary LeClair—a proud New Hampshire native who believed in helping your neighbor, supporting local communities, and standing up for the little guy. Gary worked tirelessly throughout his life as a logger and truck driver, and instilled in Corie a strong moral compass rooted in kindness, compassion, and family.
“Everything I’ve achieved—especially the work of this nonprofit—stems from the values he instilled in me,” Corie writes. “The change we strive to create in the world is a reflection of his legacy, and for that, I will always be grateful.”
That legacy is now showing up in real, everyday moments… When someone learns to video call a grandchild, access a virtual doctor’s visit, or gain confidence with digital tools that make life easier and more connected.
Our kindness jury was especially moved by the program’s steady, human-centered approach. It’s the kind of support that happens one-on-one: a patient explanation, a second try, a gentle reminder that learning is always possible. Quiet, practical kindness with powerful ripple effects.
This initiative perfectly reflects our Building Thriving Communities pillar. It breaks down barriers, creates space for belonging, and helps people engage more fully with their lives and communities.
We’re honored to support the LeClair Foundation for Technology and this ongoing mission. We can’t wait to see the ripples keep growing.
