After the Eaton Fire, community care looked different for everyone. But for All Saints Church, it simply meant being there. Not just in the early days of crisis, but through the long, winding process of recovery. They listened. They adapted. They stayed.
What set All Saints apart in the aftermath wasn’t just that they opened their doors, but it’s how they kept them open! Long after the smoke cleared, the church continued showing up for fire-impacted families with a deep understanding that recovery is a marathon, not a sprint.
They started by providing emergency shelter and emotional support during the immediate crisis. But as the needs of the community evolved, so did their response. All Saints transitioned into a hub for healing and resources: distributing clothing and supplies, creating safe gathering spaces, offering workshops on FEMA claims and housing, and even launching a free legal clinic to support those navigating the complex road to recovery. Our team was deeply inspired by their approach!
Their open sanctuary became more than a physical space. It became a symbol of what it means to accompany others in their pain, and walk beside them toward rebuilding.
That’s why the TDB Family Foundation selected All Saints as one of our LA Fire Relief micro-grant recipients. Their work exemplifies our Building Thriving Communities pillar, providing not just aid, but dignity, choice, and true neighborly care.
We were honored to contribute $1,000 to support their continued efforts, which demonstrate that community is about more than just showing up… It’s about staying too.
