When a home is in chaos, everything else feels harder. And for those already navigating crisis or transition, something as simple as finding a document can feel like one more impossible task.

That’s the reality so many individuals and families are facing, and it’s exactly what our latest Kindness Grant recipient, Sponsor A Space, is here to change.

Founded by former social worker Meghan Jackson, Sponsor A Space is a small nonprofit offering free, trauma-informed organizing sessions to people navigating some of life’s toughest transitions. Whether someone is recovering from crisis, moving through a housing change, parenting through instability, or simply trying to get back on their feet, these sessions bring much more than just order. They bring dignity, peace, and a sense of control.

With help from a $1,000 Kindness Grant, Meghan and her team will provide essential organizing supplies like shelving units, storage bins, labeling tools, and file systems to transform four households in high-need situations. Each project is deeply personal and designed in partnership with the client. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s restoration. Creating space to breathe. Making it easier to rest, cook, focus, or find important documents. It’s kindness that’s practical, tangible, and healing.

What makes Sponsor A Space so powerful is its simplicity. There are no complex systems or big teams. It’s just one woman combining years of social work experience with a deep understanding of what it means to feel overwhelmed at home! Meghan meets people exactly where they are, with no judgment and a lot of heart.

This project deeply aligns with two of our foundation’s core pillars: Building Thriving Communities and Pathways to Mental Health Resiliency. Sponsor A Space is doing both, offering relief for today while helping people build more stability for tomorrow. It’s about more than just cleared shelves and labeled bins. It’s about the emotional weight that lifts when a space finally feels manageable.

We were so moved by the heart, intention, and clarity of this project. And clearly, we weren’t the only ones. As one of our kindness jurors shared:
💬 “This is the kind of simple, direct impact that changes lives.”

We’re proud to support Meghan’s mission, and we can’t wait to follow the ripple effect as Sponsor A Space continues to grow.
