Sometimes comfort comes in the form of donations, and other times, it comes with four legs… For many families, when their world is turned upside down, healing begins with a beloved pet by their side. Because pets are more than companions, they’re family! And in moments of upheaval, they need support too.
The Lovejoy Foundation understands this deeply. That’s why, in the wake of the LA wildfires, they stepped up to support not just people, but the animals they call family. From food and leashes to beds and emergency supplies, Lovejoy has been a lifeline for pet owners navigating an overwhelming recovery.
As part of our LA Fire Relief micro-grant program, the TDB Family Foundation awarded $1,000 to The Lovejoy Foundation to support their community-based response. Their efforts reflect the very heart of our Pet-Powered Pawzitivity focus area: recognizing the essential role animals play in our lives, especially during times of trauma.
The Lovejoy Foundation’s impact goes beyond emergency aid! They’ve been distributing free pet essentials to families who lost their homes, partnering with local organizations to reach the hardest-hit areas, and offering hope to both pets and the people who love them
Every leash handed out, every bowl of food shared, every tail wag… these are small acts of kindness that create massive ripples. Because when pets are cared for, people feel more whole too.
