Recovery doesn’t always start in a clinic. It often begins with something simple: a clean pair of socks, a toothbrush, or a favorite toy that reminds you of home.

In the aftermath of the Southern California wildfires, Young & Healthy Pasadena recognized these quiet needs and responded with action. Known for over 35 years as a trusted source of free healthcare for underserved children, they organized a donation drive focused on restoring comfort, dignity, and care. Their team distributed essential items like clothes, toiletries, luggage, and even haircare products. They were items that might seem small, but carry enormous emotional weight for families starting over.

But this donation drive is just one expression of what Young & Healthy does every day. Their work extends far beyond physical health. With trauma-informed mental health care, dental services, and support navigating insurance, they provide wraparound care to the families who need it most. They’re not just healing wounds! They’re building trust, stability, and long-term well-being.

At the TDB Family Foundation, we believe in kindness that meets people where they are, and that’s exactly what Young & Healthy does. We were honored to award them a $1,000 LA Fire Relief micro-grant in support of their fire recovery work and their ongoing commitment to holistic, compassionate care.

Because healing is about feeling seen, supported, and safe.
